C. Kyle Smith, President
Mr. Smith is a seasoned professional with over 48 years of experience in petroleum land management, business development, operations management, prospect generation, and deal structuring. His expertise spans multiple states, with a focus on Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and North Dakota.
With a strong blend of business acumen and technical knowledge, Mr. Smith has successfully created and led several oil and gas companies, securing financing in both private and public sectors. He currently serves as the President and CEO of CKS Energy Group, LLC, where he continues to drive growth and innovation in the energy industry.
Roy Yates, Senior Geologist
Roy is a highly skilled exploration geoscientist with over 40 years of experience in all facets of exploration and production. His expertise spans petroleum system analysis, prospect/play generation, petrophysics, rock analysis, well site operations, and project management.
Roy has developed a deep understanding of East Texas through his work with various consulting and developmental companies in the region. Most recently, he served as the Senior Vice President of Geosciences for MD America Energy, where he led geological development and acquisitions, as well as drilling supervision for horizontal Woodbine Sand and Eagle Ford Shale wells. His work in the Madisonville, West Field area, covering Madison, Brazos, and Grimes Counties, has resulted in the successful drilling of over 170 productive wells.
With his extensive experience and hands-on approach, Roy continues to drive success in exploration and production projects.
Bill Kreimeier, Petroleum Engineer
Bill is a highly experienced engineer with over 37 years in the industry, specializing in drilling, completions, and production across the United States and internationally. His career has spanned key oil-producing regions, including the Wyoming, Colorado, and Kansas areas of the US Mid-Continent, as well as Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and beyond.
Bill began his career in 1986 with Hunt Oil Co. as a field engineer on a wildcat drilling program in South Yemen, before moving on to work with prominent companies such as Marathon, Snyder, and Magnum Hunter. In 2014, he joined Lonestar Resources, a small independent company focused on the Eagle Ford Play, as their Senior Engineering Advisor and Completions Manager. There, he led the completion and frac design for over 60 Eagle Ford wells.
With a wealth of experience and a proven track record, Bill continues to contribute to the industry with expertise in complex engineering challenges.
Ashly Lloyd, Executive Assistant
Ashly has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, all with Cameron Exploration. Her work spans operational support, regulatory compliance, and accounting, with responsibility for the day-to-day financial and administrative functions that keep the business running smoothly. She has built her career supporting executives and leadership teams with organization, efficiency, and attention to detail. Over the years, she has worked across multiple departments, building a strong understanding of the internal and external processes that support both field and office operations.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University–Commerce and is known for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and dependable approach in fast-paced environments.
